New Zealand fast bowler Tim Southee believes that Rishabh Pant's run-out was the turning point of the Indian innings, allowing him to beat his rival team for 165 runs in Wellington on Saturday.
Pant started with a six in the first over of the day, but he was run out due to Ajinkya Rahane. India lost five wickets within 33 runs.
Rahane was also out by giving a catch behind the wicket off a Saudi ball. Saudi was asked if he had any specific strategy to dismiss Rahane. Pant's run out was the most important this morning. He is a dangerous batsman and could have scored fast with Jinks (Rahane).
Saudis knew that after Pant was dismissed, Rahane had no choice but to attack. He said, 'We knew that if we get a wicket from one end, then Jinks will try to play a little aggressively. This will create opportunities for us.
Saudi said, 'We bowled very well this morning. It was great to get two dangerous players out in the morning and thus end his innings early. '
