11 illegal miners died due to a landslide at a mine in Manik in the Cabo Delgado province of the East African country of Mozambique.

 This information was given by the Inspector General of the Ministry of Mining of Mozambique Obete Matin at a press conference on Thursday.  These deaths have occurred on different days.  On Wednesday night, eight people died due to landslides in the mine, while the first death occurred on February 4 and two people died in the morning of five.

 Most of those who died are residents of Nampula province.  Women and children are also among those who die.  Significantly, during rainy days, illegal miners try to save minerals from water, due to which such accidents occur.
