Even after four years in the murder case after the rape of a 12th student resident of Jankipuram, niece of former Minister of State in the forest near CM residence, the case is still going on in the Poxo court. According to Inspector Janakipuram Mohammad Ashraf, there have been 11 witnesses in the case so far. While 3 to 4 witnesses remain to be done. The next hearing of the case is 18 February. Inspector says that a decision in this case is expected soon.
The body was found after six days
According to the police, the victim was a Class 12 student at a school in Vikasnagar. On February 10, 2016, she left home from Jankipuram to take the experimental examination. When she did not reach home from school, the family informed the Jankipuram police in this regard. The family alleges that at that time the police were sitting on their hands.
On 15 February, the dead body thrown after killing the student was found in a forest near the drain on Park Road, between CM Housing and DGP office. The student was gang-raped and murdered. His corpse was also tortured. The police engaged in the investigation, arrested two rickshaw drivers Sadguru and Deepu from Barabanki and sent them to jail. The two were taken on remand for a 7-day police interrogation to link the murder.
The police had searched the last location of the girl's mobile. The location of the mobile was found near the Golf Club. After which his mobile was switched off. The police started a search around the last location. Meanwhile, the girl's mobile was turned on again. A second SIM was being used in mobile. After this, on 13 February, police recovered the girl's mobile and her coat from a woman resident of Hydergarh, Barabanki.
During interrogation, the woman said that her husband Sadguru had sent her phone through her friend. After this, the police arrested the rickshaw driver Sadguru and his friend Deepu from Hazratganj. After interrogation, the police recovered the body from the forest. After interrogating both, the police also arrested two other accused Michael and Nasir, resident of Golf Club's Caddy Martinpurwa. In the case, the police could reach her body only through the mobile of the student.
