Moitrish Majumdar, Kolkata:

India's World Cup begins in speculation on Mahendra Singh Dhoni's retirement from international cricket? This issue has become a part of the nationwide debate. In the meanwhile, Dhoni's childhood coach Keshav Banerjee has said that former India captain can continue playing till the T-20 World Cup.

He said, 'I believe Mahi should play in T-20 format. It is very difficult for the body to play 50 overs with wicketkeeping and then batting. Again, due to the pressure of helping bowlers and fielders, he is always in action on the field. However, they will not have to face such a tough fight in T20.

Keshav Banerjee said, "Dhoni's current fitness level reveals that this is enough in the smallest format of the game. I think he can play in the next T20 World Cup. "

So far, there is no official statement from the Indian player or the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Dhoni's retirement. But Banerjee believes that the decision should be taken about this soon.

Dhoni's performance in the World Cup-2015 was constantly scrutinized and he had to face criticism for his sluggish batting. He scored 273 runs in eight matches, which is highest by any Indian middle-order batsmen. Hardik Pandya (226) and Rishabh Pant (116) are behind them in this list.
