In a barbaric act two Punjabi men — Satwinder Kumar of Safdarpur Kallian village in Hoshiarpur district and Harjit Singh of Ludhiana district — were executed by Saudi authorities on February 28 this year.
Riyadh sources confirm that the execution was carried out prior information regarding with the Indian Embassy in Riyadh.
The deceased had been arrested in December for robbery and murder of partner in robbery Arif Imamuddin and later over a drunken brawl over sharing of the looted money.
No remains have been returned to the family of the executed .
