After the ban, the Reserve Bank of India issued new notes of 200 and 500 rupees. Now again the RBI is going to issue new notes of 200 and 500 rupees. According to RBI some changes have been made in these new notes.
According to RBI, new notes are being launched under the Mahatma Gandhi (New) series. That is, these new notes will also have pictures of Mahatma Gandhi. But the RBI governor's signature will change. In fact, the notes of 200 and 500 rupees in the currency so far have been signed by former RBI governor Urjit Patel. While these new notes now coming, the current governor will be the signature of Das.
The RBI has tweeted about issuing new notes of Rs 200 and Rs 500. Apart from this, the central bank has also made it clear that with the introduction of new notes old notes running in the system will also continue. RBI has given another special information regarding the new notes. The central bank says that there will be no change in the design of new notes. Rather, their design will be similar to all previous notes issued in Mahatma Gandhi (New) series. Earlier, new notes of Rs 50 and Rs 100 had been issued by the Reserve Bank recently. These two notes are the signature of the current governing authority.
