Today, at a press conference in Alipurduar, Kamtapur Progressive Party's Assistant Secretary Sukumar Roy gave this information. He said that recently, they met the Youth Welfare Minister Aroop Biswas with a sense of confidence and gave a memorandum.
In that memorandum, it has been demanded education since pre-primary level by 2020 in Kamtapuri language and the formation of Kamatapura Development Board. He said that Chief Minister of the state, Mamta Bandyopadhyay has been interested in their development. So they are happy.
They have supported the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections of 2009 and 2014 . But the BJP government has not done anything for them. They are now talking about supporting the ruling Trinamool Congress candidate.
