Sources and a trusted Bengali news daily confirmed that the Bengal unit of the BJP had hired four special trains amounting to Rs 53 lakh to bring in party workers and supporters to fill the Brigade Ground rally where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is addressed a public rally today .
According to some of the party leaders the Bridgade ground is enormous thus any vacant area in the middle is amplified .
The four special trains reached Howrah Station from Jhargram, Lalgola and Rampurhat, reported the Bengali News daily.
The state BJP sources added , "supporters were also coming in from different parts of South Bengal, particularly South 24 Parganas district."
A railway official told the bengali news daily , “Four special trains were booked by BJP according to EC guidelines which are general class trains. They will be returned to the original destinations after the rally, along with the supporters.”
