The Election Commission issued a notice on Wednesday to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Adityanath and asked to submit an explanation by April 5.

This show cause notice comes in lieu of the much criticised statement of referring the Indian Army as “Modiji ki Sena”.

The UP CM had made the remark while he was addressing a rally in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday when was accusing the Congress of going soft on terrorists during the UPA regime. “The Congress government used to serve biryani to terrorists and Modi ji’s army sends bullets and bombs their way,” he had claimed.
