The prisoners were said to be involved in terrorism-related crimes, the Interior Ministry said. Later they publicly pinned two of the bodies to a pole as a warning to others.
The Interior Ministry in an official statement said those executed were practicing extremist ideologies and formed terrorist cells aiming to spreading chaos.
The ministry said that the individuals had been found guilty according to the law and ordered executed by the Specialized Criminal Court in Riyadh.
