Supreme Court Judge DY Chandchud said on Wednesday that the National Green Tribunal (NGT) should spread itself across the country rather than expecting citizens to come into metropolitan areas. Delivering lectures on 'Role of the judiciary and judges': He said that the courts should be centrally located so that the petitioners did not have to set long distance for petition.
He said, "It is an important topic for the National Green Tribunal that its expansion should be in different parts of the country and it should not expect the candidates to come to the big metropolis for justice from the citizens."
