The Supreme Court is going to hear on Monday, Article 35A, which has the right to decide permanent citizenship in Jammu and Kashmir, from Monday. According to sources, in the meanwhile, the central government has started preparing to remove the ordinance in the event of the opposite, in lieu of the ordinance. If the central government brings an ordinance, there is no obstacle in it but its timing can be questioned just before the Lok Sabha elections.
The 'Action' of the Center, in Kashmir, the constitutional law and constitutional experts say that before the general elections and after the Pulwama attack, the situation of the state is sensitive and in such a situation it is not right to bring it. Says Subhash Kashyap, former information secretary and former Lok Sabha speaker, "Article 35A was not included in the original constitution. It was not passed on behalf of the Constituent Assembly. It was included in the Constitution through the order of the President."
