An all-party meeting has been called by government to discuss Thursday’s terror attack on a CRPF convoy in Pulwama.
The meeting scheduled for Saturday, shall be the first of its kind called by the ruling party under Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the wake of a terror attack.
The agenda of the meeting, as understood, is to seek a unanimous decision to lay India’s upcoming track of action.
After the terror attacks in Pathankot, Uri and Nagrota, this will be the first time that the ruling party in collaboration with oppositions will try and build a consensus on the India's course of action in days to come.
The last time an all-party meeting was held in the after terror attacks in September 2016, when the government briefed representatives of all the parties after it had carried out surgical strikes across LoC.
Then was just briefing and not consultation . The difference this time is that the government is holding an all-party meet before taking an apparent, decisive action against Pakistan.
