Official information says , multiple IAF jets crossed the Line of Control (LoC) into Balakot to target Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror camps via air strikes.
The jets had to enter deep enemy controlled region lying  in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province to blow up terrorist bunkers .

An ANI report though has claimed that at about 3.30 am in the morning twelve Mirage 2000 aircraft, struck a major terrorist camp across LoC, which led to its total destruction. It added that 1000 kg bombs were dropped at the target site.
According to trusted sources , the strike was successful , however,  the damage assessment is yet to be made .
