The Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) on Monday help a public interest talk about the mission Shakti after the US space agency (NASA) warned of threats and several issues that arose after India launched it's satellite destructor .
The DRDO chairman said that during the mission Shakti, India chose Lower Orbit of less than 300 km distance, so that the space assets of countries from all over the world are not affected by debris. He said that by the way, the capacity of Indian interceptor was to drop the satellite in the orbit of up to 1000 km.
Agency chief G. Satish Reddy clearly said that all debris will be destroyed within 45 days. Actually, NASA had anticipated that the satellite wreck could endanger the International Space Station (ISS).
Presentation was also given to give detailed information about the operation. It was told that PM Modi has given green signal in 2016 and in nearly two years about 150 scientists successfully completed this project.
