Indian captain Virat Kohli said on Friday that there is a possibility of him to sit out in one or two matches of the IPL to stay fit for the ICC World Cup. When asked if he would  sit out in one or two matches to avoid fatigue, he said, 'Yes, this is a big possibility. why not?'

He said, 'This is the responsibility of ourselves. It depends on the players to report any injury to the people as far as possible and work according to the plan.

Kohli said these things on the eve of the opening match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings.

Asked whether the work related issues would affect the league, he said that it depends on the balance of all the players. He said, 'In the end I am personally motivated to start tomorrow tomorrow. I do not know how competitive or how easy Indian players will be during the IPL. Every professional knows how to make a balance. In the end, you are playing for a franchisee and they have trusted you for this work.
