Three prominent leaders namely ,
Hamro Sikkim Party's working president Ran Bahadur Subba, former minister KN Upreti and vice-president Tara Shrestha quit
Hamro Sikkim Party (HSP), headed by India's former football captain Bhaichung Bhutia.
The news comes in just ahead of the general elections and the assembly polls.
The three leaders alleged Mr Bhutia and his followers were running the party in an "undemocratic" manner.
Among other allegations the resigning leaders accused Bhutia of selecting Dr. Bina Bhasnett in 'arbitrary manner' .
The resigning leaders refused to disclose details , however , sources informed that they shall be joining the present ruling party Sikkim Democratic Front for the upcoming elections .
